DIY Festive Chocolate Bark

Let's make your own signature festive chocolate bark! Think yummy, nourishing, balanced and loaded with your favorite holiday flavors. It’s unique, makes a show-stopping gift and is better than store-bought. 


What would you fill yours with? Check out the shopping list below and join the fun!

Shopping list:

  • 16oz dark chocolate (60-70%), ideally a bar of baking chocolate instead of chocolate chips (approx. 3 cups of chopped chocolate)

  • 1¾ cup nuts and seeds (see choices below)

  • ¼ cup dried fruit (see choices below)

  • Pinch of sea salt

Optional:

  • 2 tablespoons raw honey

  • 2 tablespoons tahini, almond or peanut butter

  • ¼ teaspoon chili flakes

  • Spices (quantities will vary): ground cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, black pepper, fennel (ground or whole)

  • Vanilla or other extract 

  • Dried rose petals, lavender or other edible flowers

Choose from the following nuts, seeds & dried fruit:

  • Nuts: almonds, walnuts, pecans, cashews, peanuts, hazelnuts, pistachios, Brazil nuts

  • Seeds: pepitas, raw sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, hemp seeds (do not toast)

  • Dried fruit: chopped dates, raisins, dried cherries/berries/persimmon/pineapple/ mulberries/cranberries, goji berries, candied ginger, coconut flakes

Equipment: Baking tray, parchment paper, double-broiler or microwave (to melt chocolate), spatula, chopping board, knife.
